About

Hi, I’m John Kelly. I’m the one who builds your setup.

Oak City Intelligence builds automation inside the tools your business already uses, so the office work stops piling up.

Who you’ll be talking to

I’m a software developer based in Raleigh. I build working software with AI for real businesses, not demos or slide decks. I was born and raised in Holly Springs, graduated from NC State, and have worked on engineering problems for clients across the country.

I want the small businesses in Holly Springs and across the Triangle to keep thriving. In July 2026 I spoke to the Holly Springs Rotary about AI for small business, and I write about the same subject on this site’s blog.

When you book a call, I’m the one on it, and I’ll talk in plain language. If we work together, I build and maintain your setup myself. You won’t be handed off to someone you’ve never met.

The company

Why Oak City Intelligence exists

I started Oak City Intelligence because I kept seeing small businesses pay too much for software they didn’t control. So we work the other way around: we build inside the tools you already use, like QuickBooks Online, JobTread, Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, and your own phone number.

We take on the office work: change orders, lead follow-up, bills into QuickBooks, client updates, paperwork chasing, voice memos turned into tasks. We’re starting with home builders, working now with our first builder client on real jobs. Concierge, our AI front desk, answers calls and texts when you can’t. Our free guides are for owners who’d rather do it themselves.

How we work

What you can hold us to

Your accounts, your data

Your data stays in accounts you own, nothing moves into a system of ours, and the AI step runs on your own AI subscription.

A written plan first

The free discovery call comes first, then a written plan of what we’ll build, credited toward setup.

You approve what matters

You review and approve the parts of the build that matter to you.
